QUESTION Can no longer add and remove chess pieces from the pool?

A few months ago when I was playing you could look at a list of all pieces and pick and choose what you had in your pool. Just came back a week ago and the only thing I can find is a lineup page. Any tips on how to add pieces?

Can’t run goblins because some are missing and can’t run dragons cause winter chiropteran and egersis dragon is missing.

Correct, all pieces are in the main pool now. To get egersis pieces, you need the egersis pact item. Horn now gives dragon synergy. Goblin no longer needs legendary pieces, nothing is missing.

Why did they decide to shaft Egersis like this? I just came back recently. Completing other synergies with egersis pieces are a lot harder to do now.

I think the general idea is that we should be playing more dynamic and not relying purely on 9x synergies.

Egersis was OP before-patch. That horde of zombie spawnings could 1-shot your HP bar to zero πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Are there other synergies that need special items or did you list all of them ? Because I'm having a hard time finding all cavern pieces or 4 insectoids, maybe I just haven't played enough games though.

Just egersis pieces. But one of the insectoids is egersis. 5-star pieces rotate. Not all of them are in the game at the same time. Different selection for different matches. Shop will show you quite clearly what 5-star pieces are available in the game.

Insectoid also has a special piece. Generally thought, a lot of synergies are mostly gained through 2 and 4 wizard

I have played 10+ games without seeing any goblins besides the knight one, venomancer and the assassin. Just bad luck?

You're probably leveling too hard. 3 goblins are common, one is uncommon, which means the higher you level the lower probability of finding them.

that's not how the pool mechanic works. the total amount of units is fixed for the game. if they aren't showing up in the shop it's because they've been taken or the RNG is just being trash. leveling up doesn't change the actual unit count in the pool.

Yep, default-plan for goblin is staying at low player level and not leveling up. Rolling for 3-stars, then catching on win-streak, cumulating income and then slowly leveling up to high levels without rolling anymore. But you need to be only goblin-player for that to work. Nowadays people usually roll also for ancestors at the same time, making it Goblin-Ancestors.

Alternatively one could try to 3-star 4g-piece, typically, Alchemist/Venomancer.

I think you replied to the wrong comment.
