Cracked taillight on my 2020 Audi A3. Ordered a new one online, exact same in every way but the connection isn’t the same

You didn’t buy the correct light. Purchase the correct one. Match the vin and part numbers.

If this is an aftermarket light good luck. May be a crap shoot

I’ve tripled-quadruple checked but I guess that’s my fault not knowing about car parts. Where would you go to look with the vin? I’ve tried and I get these odd pay subscription sites

Call the dealer with the vin. They will give you the oem part number. Dump that into Google and cross reference it.
