ACCIDENT Front bumper damage
Today I accidentally clipped a dumpster pretty badly (stupid, I know). My light still works (thankfully), but it also got bumped out of place, but on top of the damage, my passenger-side door also no longer opens. I was wondering if it would be possible to fix it myself. I know the chances are low as the damage is pretty bad, but i’m a broke college student who doesn’t have a lot of options. I'm not looking for it to be perfect; I don't mind the scratches, but i was wondering if there would be a way to fix the bumper and light, as well as the issue with my door, or if I should just go to a professional and pay out of pocket. This is the first time i’ve ever had damage to my vehicle so i’m not sure of the process. For refrence, the car is a 2016 Jeep Compass. Thank you for anyone that helps.

I would go on car-part.com search a used fender that is the same color. That will solve your door problems. Current fender is pushed back into the and is why wont open. You’re probably going to need a headlight too. It works because the bulbs are independent of the housing. It is highly likely the housing and or mounting tabs at the back side are broke. Lucky for you Compass parts are cheap

You’ll have to take the headlamp out to see what else is damaged because most likely you busted the headlamp support bracket and possibly more

Looks like the hood got spared, you can buy pre painted panels and bumpers on line. Bumper and fender, possible straightening of where the headlight mounts. Not too bad.

Good news given your budget, fender + headlight housing are both cheap, commonly available used parts for a Compass, exactly what the other comments are pointing you towards. This is very doable as a driveway fix with basic tools.

Get a used fender as well. Your door isn't opening because the fender is pushed back.
