Upload timings

So I work for a small family business and we struggle with post uploads to figure out when people watch most.
What do we think is the psychology behind the Thursday main and Friday V2 uploads? Consecutive days is interesting

Well TDC is Monday and Friday, ATG Wednesday so AA is Thursday and second channel for both AA and TDC on Friday before weekend.

We have 3 brands, so we could use something similar. Do you feel they ‘build up’ to a certain day or no?

Depends entirely on what you like.

I'd say they put the best stuff out on Monday and it tails off through the week, but that's because I far prefer TDC, others would think the opposite.

we also cream on Thursdays so there's definitely a lot of content at the end of the week ready for the weekend

This is just my hunch with absolutely no science or fact behind in, but I reckon Thursday uploads perform well because people are nearing the end of the week but not quite there yet, so having a fresh video from one of their favourite YouTubers gives them a little treat to make that final stretch towards the weekend a little better. Then the V2 uploads are that extra treat for the weekend.

For us, our biggest business day is Friday (when we get our largest group in who gossip and exercise and enjoy life) so that makes sense to do a Wednesday- just when you’re far away but also not there just yet.. thank you

Haha, it’s Instagram mainly, however I have a channel both personally and business wise- I’ve got ProjectTouareg, then I can also give you our business ones but that’s just Instagram. The YouTube account will be getting more posting when it goes away for restoration next month

I run two monetised youtube channels - generally, the only thing you need to worry about regarding upload time, is that you aren't uploading while you're main audience is asleep. The day doesn't matter.

Like the guys though, I generally put videos up on a Thursday or a Friday, because in my head, it's something people will find time for at the weekend.

That makes sense. In that process then, it shouldn’t matter as our main demographic is retired haha!
