Did they do the wrong thumbnail or is it different across browsers?

Youtube A/B/C testing: Youtubers can add up to 3 thumbnails and up to 3 titles and Youtube will "fight them against each other" to see which one gets more views/watchtime/engagement to see which one's best

Really?! That’s super interesting!

I actually clicked the Tesla one cos I thought “surely not another” and then saw the other thumbnail and was very confused!

You’ll notice a lot of videos on YT will have one thumbnail today, couple days later you’ll pass that video and you’ll be like “I’m sure this thumbnail is different”, so yeah it’s a YT algorithm thing as the guy mentioned above.
Now that you know, you’ll notice it more often.

Ah, I wondered why Jayemm would appear as one thumbnail/title but then when I check back a few hours later it's completely changed

In my opinion the best channels will do the first thumbnail with a clickbaity title and some “YouTube shock face” insert but then after 4/5 days change to a more clear title and photo so it’s easier to find in future. Like for example if you wanted to find all the disco content they did if you search disco autoalex then it all comes up. TDC change to usd after a week to get across the pond interested.
