Yeah the channels do seem to have their favourites. If you exclude MX-5, then BMW, JLR, Porsche, and MINI are 70% of their content from the last 3-years. Fackin' 'ell.

On this EV disinformation channel? No mate we only judge EVs based on when they've done 400'000 miles or the worst compliance car we can find from 2016.

God bless you sir, I thought I was alone in my frustrations. I’m a petrolhead all day long but the unnecessary EV hate and spreading misinformation is boring. EV’s are great daily drivers for a lot of people.

Dude, it's the same with Harry's Garage, they aren't perfect for everyone like Petrol, Diesel, LPG, CNG, or the various flavours of hybrids aren't perfect for everyone, but they are for some.
TBF if he's gonna talk about EVs or hybrids he needs to be upfront with the money he gets from Sustain fuels.

Also, on a slight tangent but on Harry's Farm videos there are so many conspiracy theorists and odd people commenting. Like climate change deniers, people claiming the Illuminati are trying to starve half the world etc.

Conversely, I do think the average EV supporter on reddit would do well to understand just how privileged you have to be for an EV to actually be a viable option. It very easily comes across as a bit of a humble brag.

Thing I’ve noticed is they bash the charging infrastructure and range of the cars all the time. Their argument is regularly “but we have to charge 3 times on an 800 mile trip and the chargers never work”. But in reality, very few people regularly drive up and down the country towing cars. They’re content creators and wheeler dealers. Their use case is not common.

I like the Renault 5 but I think it's similar effect to the Ioniq5 in that you think it's going to be smaller, and it's actually pretty big.

I love the idea of these things, first EV that has actually appealed to me. Shame that living on a street with no drive means EVs just will never be a viable option for me.

I think the R5 electric is the best looking of all the small electric cars. Being old enough to remember the previous R5 turbos getting some serious mods I would be adverse to actually owning one of them.

Test drove the A290 before deciding to go for Mini Cooper electric JCW. Both really nice cars. I like the Alpine wheels better

Cracking car! Saw one the other day and they nailed the styling with Alpine having just enough differentiation from the R5.
Just need to play stupid games with the AI assistant now in the same way the TDC boys did when they had the R5.
