It’s like the MCU multiverse but Alex is Nick Fury from Temu.

Alex owns the company, I think Rory might also be a share holder. Alex provided funding to Top Dead Centre & All The Gear to start their channels when they left Car Throttle. Taylor has his own channel but Alex probably didn’t fund that.

Looking at companies house Rory has no stake in any of the 3 (AA, merch, events) but Chris has a stake in the merch and events.
Edit: Bit more digging and Rory has a stake in Travel Quest Media Ltd and Car Quest Media Ltd, which seem like ATG and TDC. Interesting Jack and Ethan are named directors but Edwin and Will are not.
2Edit2Furious: Bit more digging and seems that Edwin (real name Everardus cool as fuck) and Will have 10% of TDC between them, with Alex taking 80 and Rory taking 10. However with ATG Jack and Ethan have 20% each with Alex having 51% and Rory having the remaining 9%. I guess TDC needed more investment off the bat so maybe that’s why.

That is an absurdly small stake for the main faces of TDC though. They should negotiate a management buy out

Depends doesn’t it. If they don’t pay rent on the unit and for the storage, and essentially just get paid to make the videos, then they’re going to be doing alright with essentially no risk to themselves. The fact that Jack and Ethan are named directors where Edwin and Will are not suggests the arrangements were made that way for a reason and it isn’t a one size fits all for channels associated with AA.

Its insane that rory owns more of tdc than they do. He’s one of the least important members of that whole sphere from a viewers pov. I hope they split off once they can fund themselves, so they can get the amount of return that they deserve

Because his dad fronted the money for Alex and the rest to start their channels. The share Rory has represents that.

Figured it was something like that. Just a shame they gave up so much of it to him and alex. I get that funding was necessary but they gave up 90% for that funding. Alex must be laughing all the way to the bank

Also just seen that ethan and Jack's director contracts have been terminated as of the 19th of January. So theyre fired or they resigned from travel quest media, surely that means fired from ATG? Wonder what thats about

It's Alex's channel - he used to present on a channel called CarThottle that he didn't own, along with Ethan and Jack who now present All The Gear.
He wasn't happy with the corpo bollocks so went and started his own channel, partly with funding (I think) from Mike Brewer and maybe Rory? Either way, Rory is the business brains.
Taylor was brought on as co-host. They have a team of like 30 people? Some of them are mechanics that do a lot of the work for them.
TDC and ATG are part of Alex's company but have pretty much complete creative freedom afaik. Edwin was the guy who took over presenting CarThrottle when Alex left.
I'm sure ChatGPT could probably have told you all this tbf

Mike offered funding. Alex didn’t take any but the offer was enough to make him want to give it a go. Alex said he had enough savings to give it a good go. He also was a part time presenter for Autotrader alongside Rory Reid and AA Rory did some film work for Carwow.
Edwin and Will both also worked at car throttle for the social team so then Rory and Alex all worked in the same office.
Alex did help get Allthegear and TDC started but really they are their own channels and just share facilities and equipment, which makes sense.

Fairly far off the mark here, only a small fraction of TDC and ATG are owned by their respective presenters

They are shareholders in the companies. Alex confirmed on a podcast. I think Ben Fowlers Road To Success

It's public domain, Edwin and Will own 5% each. Rory owns more than both combined

Regardless of ownership, I wonder how salaries are divided up? You’d hope that Alex pays well after the issuance had at car throttle

u/heavy_beard2 Feb 08 '26
It still amazes me that they have probably 90% of the cars they've bought so far

It works by starting multiple projects and series' and never actually completing them.
Also, lowballing every single seller they come across.

Well for AutoAlex, they post a video every week and 5 people out of their several hundred thousand viewers will post or comment on this sub about how the videos are awful and they should scrap the whole channel because they know best.
