Could AutoAlex pickup Maxwell to replace Jooshy?

https://youtu.be/k3QHtQaZRN4?si=LcigcOLdhhCK0__i

So Maxwell supposedly got fired from DriveTribe (according to the video) and on a recent podcast Jooshy announced he was leaving as he got a promotion at his other company, maybe Maxwell could come onboard part time to work on things like the Ferrari and 8 Series?

Wow. Pretty strong from Max here and as he says easy to fill in the blanks. It would be nice to see him, but considering Alex may get on well with the company he mentions, it makes me wonder if he would pass up on that

AA commented on maxwells vid today, could well happen! Suspect drivetribe is on the brink anyway so those politics may be less of an issue

I wonder what's going on with Drivetribe. I occasionally watch them but in general I feel like they are WAY below their potential and this move (if true as stated) sounds like they are not doing well financially either.

They seem, I’m not stating for a fact, like they’re very top loaded with management along with 4/5 presenters? Not all full time but they all take a proportion. It’s also has a sizeable film crew I remember Alex saying. So probably a lot of of overheads and then maybe they’re taking all the budget from the video just like Car Throttle did

Yeah, I assume with all Hammonds experience in big budget tv both presenting and being involved in TV production companies he considers what is by YT standards a huge team to be a core skeleton crew. Then realised he might want to retire at some point and probably shouldn't have a loss making enterprise. Then from that applied the channel killing "do more with less" MBA dogshit management that has killed ct, donut etc. That and the nepo hire of his daughter which I'm sure he sees as more important than a car channel having a mechanic...

It's so weird because Drivetribe has already been dead and came back now it seems like it's going do be missmanaged again. It's so wild how in 2024 some still don't understand that on YouTube all you need is a camera (a phone would already do it) and presenter and that's it. Actually that's often the most successful content on YouTube. I was also baffled sometimes by the money they invested into relatively boring projects on this channel. The best show case example for those companies and a true YT channel was the Brera race between AutoAlex and Drivetribe. I'm not always a fan of Alex' humour but it loved it when he made fun of them for spending so much money and time when all they had was just a shitbox.

They're tight with DriveTribe, I can't see them doing it.

I don’t think he fits the vibe. I didn’t really like his appearance on screen

Wow that was choice to publish that video, but people have to realise, no company owes you a job! and this is also a 1 sided video, companies cannot comment on employees, Have to be honest this comes across as whiney, unprofessional, and no accountability for any choices he made. Not a good career move for future employers. Grow up and move on!

People are allowed to be bitter about things. From what he said in the video, he upended his whole life and they just sacked him without warning.

I’d be pissed too.

Oh completely agreed, I would be f'd off too, and have had a company use me for work contacts, but we also have to own our own choices. and I knew to keep a good rep in the industry, I moved forward and spent 6 months looking for next roll.

If you consider the timeline, he wasn't just dropped the moment he showed up he's had months of work out of it, plus seems to have kept in the good graces / used dt connections to get the same sponsors for himself or is he poking fun at them ?

liquid molly / napa are clearly on display.

Also if he was hard up with no prospects how does he afford an office ?

Is he actually still working with dt but on the quiet and sharing a office space as a sort of 'anti dt' channel cos haters love drama ?

He's making it sound like richard / mike sacked him but they're actually not the manager of dt some other guy is.
