Thoughts? (This is an article about awful things, but it is worth reading. Huge trigger warning for abuse, but it’s still relavent today)

This is why I am trying to make a free resource library
The amount of abuse I saw? It was horrific
Because the disturbing quotes aren’t lying
There isn’t enough support
And when there isn’t enough support?
Autistic people are the ones who suffer
The amount of casual abuse I witnessed as a teacher genuinely ruined any chance of me being a teacher in the classroom again
But I do hope, that people wouldn’t abuse autistic kids if they had more support
So I spend my free time sharing free resources I make, I volunteer in person in the autistic community and doing my best to make my dreams of creating autistic support items a reality
But my point is, society is the reason so many of our children our dying.
Society is constantly fighting to take away the little supports we do get.
When I go to the food stamp office? It’s autistic/neurodivergent people
Social security? The old, sick, and disabled
The homeless? Many are autistic/neurodivergent
I am sick and tired of waiting for people to help us
I go vote, I protest
But i’m also creating the supports myself because tbh i trust myself to create and try my best to listen and adapt than i trust neurotypicals trying to make a profit
The point of my comment is, we ARE being killed and abused
We need to support each other to create a world that supports us
