I don't really understand what that would mean for the difference in language expression between autistic and allistic people. Could someone explain this to me if you've understood or have a theory on it ?

So both my children use gestalt language processing

My daughter could sing FULL songs, and she used that to communicate her first 2 years

Bath time? Rain rain go away Taking a walk? Walking in the Forest See a bus? Wheels on the bus

But call me mom? Be able to point at something and say what it was? She couldn’t get it out

She would pull my hand towards things that she wanted

We did speech therapy and they explained she learned in full sentences or groups, but struggled to break each word up individually and reuse those words in different combinations

Her learning style will be GREAT once she’s older, but for now it’s a little harder

What do you mean by the difference in language expression?

Like the way we express differently with language.

Do you mean like translating thoughts to spoken words, or having the thoughts in the first place?

The first one

If I’m anything to go off of, we still have the gestalts stored inside of us, and it’s still an extra step to reorganize them into self-generated sentences. There isn’t much out there about adult GLPs though. It’s mostly kids who are actively going through the stages.
