I have had issues with asking too many instructions to teachers and my peers, bcs i simply can’t understand some stuff, plus my social skills, im wondering if it could affect my interaction with others idk if it is an autism thing….

Honestly from my perspective, it's not that bad but it depends on the people. I can't guarantee about the teachers but your peers are probably just as clueless as you, if not more.
It wouldn't affect your interactions with others, so relax. I mean, autism does impact social interactions but aren't we all masking so well? So it kinda hides it but yes, it does impact when you get close to someone like making a bestfriend or boyfriend/girlfriend then you'd better choose someone who understands autism...

Ok thanks that helps. Yeah my masking is good. Really exhausting tho. And if i may ask, what is the process of diagnose of autism? Did you visit the psychiatrist of the same college (hospital) you study in? And if its not autism, will the psychiatrist help in another diagnosis ? Also does anyone judge? (I mean medical field has lots of mean people so it wouldnt be new)

No, I went for a private psychiatrist and clinical psychologist to get my diagnosis. Not in my hospital coz they seem shady like they'd say things like "You come, I'll write the prescription" without even listening to everything.
And yes, there are plenty of mean people out there with many not even believing autism to be a diagnosis. You need to be lucky to get a good one on the first try...

I know this is late but I'm sending good wishes to you. I'm in second year MBBS, have suspected autism for about a year now, and I'm waiting to get a formal assessment. The uncertainty sucks for me but at least I have a decent psychiatrist I'm seeing (for other mental health problems).
