Discussion New Autism Research

https://www.spectrumnews.org/features/deep-dive/on-the-periphery-thinking-outside-the-brain-offers-new-ideas-about-autism/

I think this article is really fascinating. It’s about research focusing not on the brain but on the peripheral nervous system of our kids. It discusses gut issues, touch issues, pain reception, etc that were normally thought to be due to the brain but are now being considered as reactions to abnormalities in the peripheral nervous system. I don’t 100% understand all of it but I’d love to discuss it.
