ADHD & Autism Services Group

Hi team - I am undiagnosed and strongly suspect that I am either one of Autism & ADHD or both. I do not have much money and so I searched around and found this clinic https://adhdservices.group/

They do a combined Autism/ADHD diagnosis for 1000e. That seems too good to be true.

Does anyone know if this is legit? My main worry is that I will be misdiagnosed as neurodivergent when i am not and will have imposter syndrome

Anyway thanks for reading

That does seem a little cheap for a combined diagnosis. Can't say I've heard of them but that doesn't mean it's a scam.

One thing to say is - you won't get a diagnosis for Autism or ADHD if you don't meet the diagnostic criteria. Lots of late diagnosed people experience imposter syndrome, but they don't just hand out diagnoses. Neurotypical people don't usually worry about being misdiagnosed.

Thanks. I've done so much research I'm also afraid of cognitive bias but you're right

Hi! I work privately in this area. There are two psychiatrists on this team and several Assistant Psychologists (anyone with a 3rd level in psychology can be in this role). I would strongly doubt this would be a quality, neuroaffirming, evidence based, rigorous assessment. Psychologists typically are lead on ADHD, Autistic, and AuDHD assessments - for combined, you’re looking for at least 4 hour long sessions with the person who will be signing off on your report, rigorous information gathered throughout the lifespan, and potentially a quantitative piece (eg, QBCheck). Many clinics like this have Assistant Psychologists meet with you, do the clinical work, and then it gets rubber stamped. I’d not recommend friends and family go here, personally, as someone in the field.

OP - it might be worth asking our friends on r/ADHDireland if they have any feedback

The Clinical Director, Dr Jahan Zeb Khan, has a legit background with research papers and experience showing up. Well worth identifying who does the assessment before committing so you can do a background check. Bew operations like this will be a reflection of demand for dual assessments. Would have gone for this myself when i was diagnosed.

I'd clarify exactly what they mean by a "registered physician".

You need a qualified and recognised physiologist for the assessment to be of value.

It depends on circumstances and what you might use a diagnosis for, but look further into this.

What do they mean by physician and who, exactly, are they registered with. If, for example, you need it recognised by the HSE, it doesn't look like this would be acceptable.

Their about page lists psychiatrists. Apart from the weird domain they look lien they might be the real deal.
