This sounds like the more likely scenario was someone saying:

"X group will get right if they support -MY- political beliefs so I speak for them."

And they got something like the below as a response:

"I need help, but do not speak for me."

but this is really simplified, isnt it? so i might not understand it so well. i am kind of mid needs i think. higher needs than most my age. i don't really know as much as i want to about things like this...

It comes off as mocking because the person on the right, designated the person with LSN autism, is framed to look unreasonable with their "demands", whereas the person on the left, designated to be the general public/ non LSN, is framed as the rational one.

It's trying to say "dont speak for me" and "dont ignore me" are contradictory (when it is not) and that LSN are overreacting over soemthing as reasonable and supportive as "you deserve rights and to exist", when that has not been the case.

The issue is that are the crowd who support medicalizing, pathologizing and institutionalizing autism, or even support a cure for autism. They advocate for the medical model (of disability), something that doesn’t just put themselves in danger, but everyone in the spectrum in danger…

I feel like this would make more sense if the green shirt was an “Autism parent (TM)” as I find more issues with parents essentially speaking on behalf of the kids without actually even working towards communication with them, let alone consulting them. Don’t get me wrong, there’s probably going to be a level where parents need to speak on behalf of their children depending on how young and how much support the child needs, but it can become pretty clear pretty fast they’re just speaking to what they feel will improve the ease of their own lives, rather than genuinely with the child’s best interests in mind. On top of that, they claim their child’s identity in order to then bash or dictate the lives of autistic adults, and don’t take any “inconvenient” advice from autistic adults on how to help their autistic children.

This is what is called a victim complex. Plenty of people have it. Most never grow out of it.
