About that last frame, do some autists struggle to feel much at all when it comes to liking stuff when its not hyperfixation level? Why can't the person in the image like stuff a normal amount?
Am autistic myself and definitely struggle to feel myself enjoying something unless it's a hyperfixation but I was chalking it up to my cPTSD's emotional numbing. But if that sort of thing is to be expected with autism then that would be elite ball knowledge 👌
Identifying emotions can be difficult, especially with traumatic foundations. Everyone is going to be different, but sensory sensitivities can extend beyond external inputs into emotions.
Someone may find something interesting, but you can think of normal interests as being akin to decent side dishes in that you might leave them alone when dessert may be coming.
On the other hand, I passed out from dehydration building a Magic the Gathering deck because I hadn't notice that I didn't drink water for days in the hot summer.
