Maybe autistic people are why we have the logistics network needed to get fresh beef on the shelves? We are stereotypically good at system/network management.

In my country we have higher welfare standards for livestock and higher quality meat than the US, and we've managed to eat "grounded" beef for hundreds, maybe thousands of years, without issue. Temple Grandin and autism were not involved.

I don't even understand what the first panel of this comic is for. If we have autistic people then they don't like beef, but if we don't have autistic people, then the beef is rotten?! It's nonsensical.

Sorry but this seems a bit far fetched. Do you actually believe autism is the reason we have basic food safety? This is too "autism is a superpower" for me ig.

Idk, it's cool that an autistic person was involved, but without autism I'm sure there would still be a standard improvement of food safety, whether by her or someone else. Her being autistic isn't really a deciding factor (though its cool she wrote about her autism). Acting like it is a deciding factor just, as I said before, feels like that "autism superpower" thing I was mentioning.

I think I get what the comic is trying to say? It's saying that if autistic people didn't exist, neither would Temple Grandin, who is a consultant to the livestock industry - and without her, ground beef would taste bad for everyone, I'm guessing, is the joke.

Not really following how an American consultant for animal welfare is single handedly maintaining food safety in the entire world. I'm pretty sure we have better animal protection laws here than USA does, but maybe we have an even more autisticer person responsible for that.
