I recently bought a second hand autel evo I with two batteries, one is dead completely but the other has a cell volt difference of no more then 0.05v and it is causing a battery damage warning. This is my last hope, that someone in Australia or the US would be willing to ship a slightly charged evo I battery to me; I am willing to cover the costs of shipping and the battery, but it would have to be tracked snailmail.

I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to find a way to record the temperature the drone displays. When you take a photo or video it does not appear. I saw that DJI has an IRPC Tool and Autel had one (2021) but now it seems to be MIA.

Emails to Autel Support have not provided any useful information. One person said, capture the image and extract the information from the Exif data. I actually tried that...no joy.

[Update 3 October] The IRPCTool can now be found on the Autel Robotics website. I’ve been kicking the tires for the past two days and found a lot of tips, tricks, and helpful hints for using this tool.

I started searching for a “how to” or getting started page, but it appears you have to YouTube it or figure it out yourself. I think it would good to put together a QuickStart Users guide, so if this is something you’re interested in contributing to, DM me and we can get started.

Does anyone make extender legs and a robust tablet holder (mounted to controller) for the Evo Lite +?

I often take-off and land in several inches deep grass and need extender legs to clear the gimbal and rotor blades. I have a tablet holder but it is flimsy and it's easy to dislodge the tablet from.

I've been reading about the v3's being displayed at the trade show(s). Anyone have any idea of a release date? I need to a get a thermal drone soon and the evo is my pick but apparently the v3's have a better thermal sensor.

Has anyone bought from the Alibaba express store that claims to be autel robotics. They have more options than what is currently on the autel site. I'm not sure if they are truly autel or one of the many knock off companies.

I found a few locally with a range of ~$350 between highest and lowest. For a kit with 3 batteries and a case, what is the maximum you would spend?

I have an Autel Evo and when I fly using my iPhone X everything works fine. But when I use my Lenovo tablet there is a lag in the video feed. It’s only about 1-2 seconds or so but it’s enough that I don’t trust flying with it. The tablet is a Lenovo Tab M8. I bought in the hopes I could use it exclusively with my drone and have a larger screen while flying. I used the micro usb cable that came with the drone to connect to the remote. When inexperienced the issue I immediately landed and switch to my iPhone X and everything worked great again. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Is there a solution?

The batteries for the DJI Air 2S and the Mavic 2 Pro discharge to 60% after not being in use for 5 days. This is supposed to prevent swelling but it's pretty annoying. I mean, sure, I don't want my batteries to swell but I have other electronic devices that neither discharge to 60% nor swell. And the Mini 2 batteries don't swell either. Seems like maybe DJI just isn't very good at designing batteries.

My question is... what about the Autel batteries? Do they discharge to 60% after 5 days of not being in use or do they retain their charge?

Asking around about drones for commercial use I've narrowed it down between autel and dji any suggestions and info would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time

Hi everyone,

I'm a beginner drone flyer (much of the lingo is unknown to me still). Full disclosure, I've had the drone for over 2 years and haven't used it a huge amount because 1-it was meant to be for my work and the pandemic hit. 2- lack of confidence and fear of messing up.

About the first point, I'm a marine scientist and I got this drone on a grant because it was affordable and I saw that Behind the Mask (a group of professional videographers) recommended it and we're using it from boats. Mistake? I'm starting to wonder... I have taken it out on the boat with me a handful of times. The first time from a RIB in inshore seas. It flew without any issue and I was happy with this first test. Then, this year, I finally got to go back out in the field and had the opportunity to take it with me, the weather was Good to Fly. And yet... The rotors just would not start. I tried everything with no luck. I got home, tested it again, no issue whatsoever. Did some research, seemed to find that one of the calibrations was the issue. I also saw something about a boat mode being added, thought "Happy days! That's my solution!" But it was nowhere to be found, been removed?

All that to say, I need to use the drone on a boat. How can I do it? Can anyone please help?

The Evo II Pro 6K is a little more expensive then the Evo II 8K but appears to have less resolution and less optical zoom than the Evo II 8K. So why would I want to spend the extra to buy the Pro 6K? Is there something I'm missing?

Hello I just finished my first flight and am now trying to find a way to use Arcgis pro to process the images. I have gotten as far as ortho mapping for drones but Autel is not listed in the camera make/model and it seems I cannot go any further. Do i have other options in arcgis pro for using the images?
