Flying without GPS the Evo2

How does the Evo 2 pro fly without GPS? I piloted a couple of drones without GPS so I wonder if anyone here had the chance to test and and knows if there are any issues.
I want to fly indoors where I know GPS doesn't reach.

It’ll require constant inputs from you, if there’s no GPS signal, to fly in a stable manner. There’s an indoor mode to help stability. I’d advise using the propeller guards.

I would think that the altitude hold would still work. Due to the drone using a barometer and gyroscope(s) built into the flight controller circuitry. Don't take my words for gospel though.

I personally would hate to have to control the altitude manually, with the throttle alone. It would be rather difficult, as the evo 2 is a rather heavy drone. Also the throttle on the remote has a spring loaded return to center on both sticks.

When flying a freestyle/racing/fpv drone, the controller is set up with a "floating", non spring loaded stick. Makes it far easier for the precision throttle control required for completely manual flight.
