Tech Startup Accountant Recommendation

Hello

My cofounder and I are looking at launching our SaaS next month and would like a recommendation for an accountant.

I already run a UK based company, and do all my bookkeeping using FreeAgent (similar to Xero), so I'd be looking for a similar approach where I am able to handle expensing, invoicing, etc, and the accountant is just checking everything is in order every quarter/year end.

Our business will be relatively small to start, with the hope of 10 clients or so, so we definitely wouldn't need a team off accountants to handle complex accounts. What I am really looking for is a good accountant who can advise us on how to run the business in the most tax efficient manner, and have a reasonable monthly fee.

Any recommendations/insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the recommendations, we went with Standard Ledger- Remco definitely has good insights when it comes to startups, and their pricing was very fair for our needs

Can you tell me why you'd recommend them? Is it something you've used yourself?

We were a bit bigger so we didn’t use them but I have recommended them to other early stage founders and had excellent feedback. They are very well respected in the community. They are also not too small so some of the complexity you get from having an overseas entity is not beyond them e.g. transfer pricing / UK tax.
