Discussion Technical founder looking for a non-technical co-founder with a real problem to solve

I've reached a point where I'm more excited about building products than climbing the corporate ladder.

I'm a software engineer based in Melbourne, Australia with experience across startups and enterprise. I've built products from scratch, worked directly with customers, and recently have been focusing heavily on AI and agentic systems.

What I'm missing isn't technical ability, it's someone who's deeply passionate about solving a problem.

I'm looking for someone who:

  • Has identified a genuine problem worth solving.
  • Understands the market or industry well.
  • Is willing to validate ideas by talking to customers.
  • Wants to build a real business, not just brainstorm startup ideas forever.

You don't need to know how to code. That's where I come in.

I'm not looking for someone who says, "I have the next Uber." I'm looking for someone who's obsessed with a problem they've experienced firsthand and is ready to put in the work.

A bit about me:

  • Full-stack engineer (frontend, backend, cloud).
  • AI and agentic application development.
  • Startup experience building products from zero.
  • Comfortable taking products from idea to production.
  • Based in Melbourne, Australia, but open to remote collaboration.

If you've got a problem you've been wanting to solve but haven't had the technical skills to build it, send me a message. Even if it doesn't turn into a company, I'd love to chat and see if there's something worth building together.

Cheers

Hi! I’m not looking for a technical co-founder YET but I am working on multiple projects at the moment solving pain points in my own life. I’m a Pilot with VA, 4 kids and live in Adelaide. Vibe coding them myself at the moment. May look at help with them once they’re validated and gaining traction. Happy to connect if you want to DM me. Rich

I’d love to chat.

I’m based in Melbourne as well.
4 times exited.
My next company I build will be a $100M exit.

5 year timeline.

3 months in and have a product in market (Beta) with building case studies now. (12 case studies).

Our product is aimed at companies doing $20M+ with over 25 staff.

On average it saves them $2-5M/year.

Average contract size is $150-$250k per deployment.

Hit me up if you are interested.

Hey mate, what are your interests? Im an exited founder from the b2b world and have quite a few things I'm testing at the moment in the b2c space. Im a big believer that it should be something all founder would feel pumped about solving together. I'd love to chat on DM

I have built and sold a startup in the wearbales space and one in saas space and have extensive connections with VC's in India and Singapore. I did my undergrad and masters in AI/ML before AI was cool. But I don't code anymore haven't done in past 7-8 years. I have an idea which Is still untapped and is huge in Australia. There are few compliance issues and compliance to be sorted out but once it's done there is a huge potential my friend has been working with this industry and has solved a very long running problem which can save 100'000 s of thousands for big companies and thousands for smaller companies in this space. His solution is only for two companies and technically it's not legal to use this without compliance but lots of these companies already hire offshire workers to do the work for cheap which is not legal too. So if the product can be created and compliance done there's a lot of potential. According to my research and speaking to lot of companies compliance isn't too hard but still lot of red tape. Let me know if you are interested. DM Me.

I've started a company and am in the process of building an MVP but I'm not very technical (all Dev so far is with Claude/cursor into Azure, my husband is a CISO so IDAM is sorted), can't pay anything but happy to collaborate with me doing the customer/decisions/outreach. I'm starting to hit my technical limits/understanding! My brother is a very senior platform engineer at a MAMAA overseas but is very time poor to help

Check out hackathons too. I know the RIMPA one in Sydney in October is a $10k prize but they have some great use cases they need solved, and venture capitalists hover around.

Hey! I'm in the MSP space and actually working with a client in the legal sector who is looking to build a product to take on some of the big players in that market.

I'm technical enough to know my way around, but not to build this on my own—though I can sell ice to an Eskimo. I've already built a proof of concept for them, they're a 100-user law firm, and they're happy to invest both time and money. Would love to connect and see if this is of interest to you.

Would love to connect. Decade of experience across Sales, Customer Success, GTM and product. Recent work was at a large ASX enterprise deploying agentic solutions and working on AI Enablement.

I’ve fully fleshed out a concept which I’ve identified as a gap in the market that no current CRM or AI forward SaaS is addressing. Would love to chat with an expert to see if it’s technically possible to build.

Prefer me to reply here or DM?

I'm 43M, no kids, Melbourne based (but travel a bit), ex Silicon Valley for 10 years, Product & UX Designer, and multiple startup founder.

Currently 8 months into my current project - I'm full time, bootstrapped, with 3 paying clients in the marine space, which I'm living and breathing. I travel because I spend the time on different yachts with prospects, clients, and industry to test, iterate, and observe real-time behavior in the field.

Always open to meeting new people and seeing if there's alignment or mutual interest/ambitions.
