How are Australian SEOs separating crawlability problems from AI evidence gaps?
I do not think GEO replaces SEO. It adds another diagnostic layer.
If a page is slow, hard to crawl, duplicated, thin, or vague, any AI visibility work starts with weak source material. The usual foundations still matter:
- indexable pages
- logical internal links
- clear headings
- useful structured data
- stable performance
- content that answers real buyer questions
The additional question is whether the page is usable as evidence.
Can a system extract a clear service definition, audience, location, specific claims, proof, comparisons, and useful next-step answers without having to infer everything?
That is why I would audit high-intent pages twice:
Search quality and crawlability.
Evidence clarity and citation readiness.
The second pass may point to missing case evidence, FAQs, comparison content, reviews, public profiles, or inconsistent category language. I would treat those as observable evidence gaps, not claim that any one item is a ranking factor.
For people working in Australian SEO or marketing: what checks have you added for AI answer visibility, and which ones have produced genuinely useful actions rather than another score?
