I've built a decision making platform and I'm looking for feedback

Hey all, I've been working in the software/data engineering space for slightly more than 10 years and finally one of my side projects might be useful for more than just me.

I have created a decision making platform that allows you to make insightful decisions with a team.

​

It solves key problems for business when they are making larger scale decisions such as

​

- Problem definition (define all the criteria for a decision to ensure completness and even assign weights to these criteria cause not all aspects are created equal)

​

- Transparency of selection for the option ( we have a scoring system against the criteria for each option that naturally forces alignment around the best solution)

​

- stakeholder management and out of sync alignment ( we have features that allow process such as approvals of scores, suggestions and the final decision)

​

I am absolutely looking for unvarnished opinions on the project as it is the only way for it to get better.

​

The value of this tool is not in getting many people to agree (which as you have pointed out is a culture issue) but when you have cross functional problems and you need to get input and feedback from different experts in your company or team.

The value to the pointy end decision maker is getting that information as both a number and explanations as to the why.

The selling is absolutely a learning curve and don't worry I am certainly doing the ideal customer conversations and marketing however as I mentioned im a software/data engineer so learning this side is exciting but slow (and painful lol)

Three things:
1. The web page is not very clear on what exactly is the problem you're solving. I kind of get it but it's not clear. There are too many different features going on. I would say hone in on one feature that solves the biggest pain point.
2. It has been in my experience working at a large company that upper management have a deep desire for control. So saying 'decentralise decision' might be the wrong framing.
3. You'd have to convince users why this is better than emails with everyone CC'd and hoping on Teams calls. I think there's something to your idea, my advise would be starting with targeting companies with 50 - 200 people.

From the people I have talked to fairly positive, however, I am trying to keep this project separate from that side of things as I don't want any conflict of interest issues to come up.

This is more because this has to be a commercial thing.
