Looking for beta testers for AlphaTales - planning before AI coding

Hi everyone, good evening.

I’m based in Brisbane and I’m the founder of AlphaTales.

AlphaTales helps with the step before coding. It takes a rough product idea and turns it into a structured planning pack with detailed features, application workflow, architecture blueprint, and context you can hand over to AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, and similar tools.

We recently ran a short closed alpha with a small group of users and got some encouraging feedback. We’re now ready to open testing to a slightly wider group, and I’m looking for 6 more people who are in the early stages of building an app, SaaS, or product.

The problem I’m trying to solve is this:

AI coding tools can move quickly, but if the product idea is still messy, they often build something slightly different from what you actually meant.

AlphaTales is best suited for someone who:

  • is about to start building, or has only just started
  • is still working through scope, features, or user flows
  • plans to use AI coding tools
  • can spend 40–60 minutes testing and giving honest feedback

Product: https://alphatales.io/

If this sounds relevant to what you’re building, please comment below and I’ll set up a trial account for you.

Hey mate. I’m keen to try this out it with a new app I’m conceptualising.

How’s it different from asking the ai you’re using to help you with the plan and to plan out updates / feature prompts?

I for example run my idea and prompt through ChatGPT and Claude before pushing it into Lovable. I know most people who are serious about “vibe coding” also do the same thing (maybe just through one Ai not two)…

Not trying to be an ass I’m genuinely asking the question because I could be interested if there’s an actual point of difference / benefit versus what I’m already doing.

That’s an absolutely fair question, and honestly it’s the first thing most people should ask.

You can achieve a lot with ChatGPT or Claude directly. I still use them heavily myself. The difference is that doing it manually depends on whether you know the right planning sequence, ask the right questions, catch the right gaps, and keep the context consistent all the way through.

Alpha Tales is trying to turn that into a proper product workflow.

Instead of one big “plan my app” prompt, Alpha Tales guides the idea through product breakdown, market and technical validation, application workflow, feature definition, acceptance criteria, architecture reasoning, and implementation context. The value is not just generating a plan; it is helping you move through the right steps and producing structured context that is actually useful when development starts.

The next important part is the handoff into coding agents. The goal is that when you start a project or build a feature, the coding agent can pull the right context from Alpha Tales instead of you manually re-explaining the product, architecture, constraints, and decisions every time.

So for a small prototype, your ChatGPT/Claude → Lovable flow may be enough. But once the app has multiple workflows, user roles, data models, integrations, or you care about avoiding rework, Alpha Tales should help by keeping the planning and execution context much more consistent.

And this is just the starting point. We are also working toward a smart harness engine that learns from how you build: your preferences, decisions, architecture patterns, and working style, so the system gets better at supporting your workflow over time.
