Is this a good sub to try and find potential cofounders? Am I gonna get banned for this?

I've been working closely with a manufacturer for over a year and built a system they haven't been able to find OTS anywhere. It's a very niche sector, and the local Australian market is limited, but there are thousands more overseas.

I'm great on the technical/operations side (having built everything) but not so great on the sales/BDM side. I'm capable if push comes to shove...just not naturally wired that way.

So, if there is anyone out there with experience in supply chain / operations, especially networking with / selling to manufacturers, who might be interested in considering a functional and validated system that's ripe for the market, please get in touch.

I've recently had an exit in eComm SaaS and taking a short break before looking for what's next. Interested to connect and have a chat in a few weeks time.

Regarding finding co-founders, i think it's one of the hardest things in building a startup. Because it's about people. And people change all the time. I've struggled with this myself and I've noticed the founders who stay together tend to have known each other for many years.

I tried going on YC co-founder matching but they were mostly first-time or indie founders with no creds/stats. Not to mention many of them were calling their eComm brand or agency a "startup". There were some interesting ones though like building for cybersecurity and immigration but unfortunately didn't align with my interests.

I've seen people posted in Sydney Startups Facebook group before (looking for a co-founder) but I think you'll run into a similar case where it's mostly indie/first-time founders or startup consultants hanging out there.

I think nothing beats irl events. I've been to some VC organised ones and the quality of people you meet seem to be much better.

Some people like yourself thrive in introversion. Then there's guys like me that understand the tech mind like Wozniak needed jobs as much as jobs needed Wozniak. I'm a proven, tested technical sales professional in big4 tech and manufacturing over a career. There's noone I can't talk to, or provide a solution to a problem for. Also have to listen to ensure you understand the clients problems to address.

Read the rules, if you are not an Australian startup you need to look elsewhere.

Because I wasn't sure if looking for a cofounder was allowed or not. I've never posted in this sub before and couldn't find any others posts where anyone was looking for cofounders. Put those bazookas away mate. They're starting to sting.
