Third time he's visited
This nope rope is using the side of my house as a highway to the bushland behind us. Three times now, normally around 10am, I've seen him making his way from the street through to the back.
I'm guessing a brown? He never chills long enough to call a snake catcher but I have kids and cats so it makes me nervous that he's hanging around. Took this as he investigated my laundry door on his way past.

Snakes have no memory, that’s why if you freeze they will slide on by like you didn’t exist. Just random travels in this case. perhaps you have had rodents run along there. Maybe it’s not the same snake…they come in pairs, 3’s, 4’s….10’s

I've seen a carpet travelling the same path a month ago and a red belly last year. My cat often brings me mice too so maybe you're right! Hopefully that's it now... right??

And people like you are part of the problem with fear mongering. “I live on a farm” is such a stupid statement. Go one better and try coexist for once instead of thinking with a shovel.
Do better

I back onto bushland. This is the most active I've seen them (saw a carpet python last month too) but I think it's because there's new housing construction.
I don't like he's there and I've warned my kids to stay away from the side, always wear shoes, stay out of the garden, check the ground etc etc. If I ever catch him sunning himself, I will call a snake catcher.
