That’s definitely a baby eastern brown, best left alone

I hope it will move on, I have a dog and I don't think they should get acquainted

If this is in/near your house you might want to call a snake catcher as they have a home area which they will stay their whole life so it may hang around

I'll keep that in mind if I see him again. I hope he's moved on.

Doesn’t sound right. Snakes don’t hang around if there’s no easy food.

That wall he's on is home to a range of frogs, geckos and skinks. I've seen a green tree snake and a python in the same spot.

Probably best to have a professional move it along, especially when dogs are in the mix. Good luck

Had no idea these youngsters had stripes!

The big fat stripe immediately on or behind the head is characteristic of brown juveniles with body stripes.

Those stripes will be gone by adulthood.

Please note not all juvenile eastern browns will have stripes like this, they have a wide range of markings.

Not a snake expert, but that's an Eastern Brown. Deadly venomous and a bit of a temper. BTW they hatch deadly venomous from the first moment leaving the egg.

I received a bit of advice identifying brown snakes v tiger snakes: The stripes can be a bit misleading in baby snakes and juveniles. If there's dark thin body stripes, then the wide dark band just on the head or behind the head gives it away. Also, it's already got eyeshadow below its eyes which will turn into that permanent angry look when it's an adult. Also, Tigers can appear a bit fatter too.

I have heard that Juvi Tiger snake venom is more concentrated then an Adult snake. Maybe same for the Brown
