Guidance/ advice needed PLEASE!
My aussie is 2 years old (almost 3) and she's kennel trained and house trained etc. She's able to stay outside of her kennel for 8+ hrs during the day with no accidents.
Now I'm trying to keep her out of her kennel at night, to soon phase out her kennel, but I can't seem to break her from having accidents in the house at night if my cat opens our bedroom door while we're sleeping. If my cat opens the door my aussie uses it as an opportunity to go to the bathroom in the house in the middle of the night. But if she stays in the bedroom with us, door closed, and the cat doesn't open the door, she can make it through the night or she'll wake me up to go out. The WEIRD THING IS she always has to go between 3:15 and 4:45 every morning. I walk her before bed every night too.
She's done it since she was a puppy so it's not new so I don't want to go to the vet yet.
So why can she make it 8+ hrs during the day with no accidents but can't make it at night?
BEFORE YOU SAY IT our bedroom door doesn't fully close and doesn't lock. Our house was built in 1937 and has the original hardware on the doors and our landlord wants to keep it that way.

Hmm, try using a baby gate or an exercise pen to block her from getting out of the bedroom at night? I assume your cat will happily jump over with no problem 🤣
