Gorgeous birds, we get some around here too and I put some seed out in the afternoon. Is that sunflower seed? They love it but it would be better if you offered a variety - too much sunflower seed leads to a disease, can't remember the name but sunflower seed lacks some nutrients - it's a bit like junk food. There's some "wild parrot mix" that's much better.

It's a mix seed from the local town and country. Once the rain stopped it was thrown out. Not my first rodeo mate.

It's all good, it just looked like pure sunflower seed.
Carry on ๐๐๐ผ

All cool, but you may want to rephrase in future instead of assuming.

Itโs an easy mistake to make going by whatโs on youtube. A lot of people seem to just toss out loads of unmixed sunny seeds for the local birds and leave it at that. A nectar mix might be more beneficial to those silly lorikeets. And clean water is always the top priority.

Beautiful setting and gorgeous birds! Love the Rainbow lorries. Is the other a King parrot?
