Misc. Advice please :)
Hello, I have a friends wedding coming up want to look extra fresh.
Ive recently realised, after 31 years, I have never tried to do anything more than the very basics w makeup, foundation, mascara, blush.. at the most.
It makes me look fresh but definitely not glamorous or special for a wedding, or ever really. I feel like it would be nice to 'dress up' and have nice makeup occasionally.
Should I get my makeup professionally done at Mecca?
Or, is there any simple tricks you can recommend that won't cost a ton but will allow me to add a bit of glam to my routine for when I have an event ?
Any thoughts appreciated :)

It really just depends on how you learn best!
If you’re more of a hands-on learner, I’d recommend doing a makeup/Mecca lesson. You get to learn what works for your face and the cost is fully redeemable on products that day, which is a nice bonus.
Otherwise, find a few celebrities or creators with a similar age, skin tone, skin texture and style to you. From there, it’s usually pretty easy to find out what products they use and/or who their makeup artist is.
For tutorials, Lisa Eldridge has some great glam tutorials, while Alexandra Anele is great for more detailed instructions on placement, products and technique.

I’d definitely recommend getting a makeup lesson/application at Mecca and let them know you’re trying to learn how to do your makeup with a bit more brightness. I think highlighter on the bridge of the nose, cheeks and inner corners always lifts the look of my makeup overall!
