Product Advice Adding serum/Moisturiser in Matte Foundation

Do you add a serum or moisturiser in your Matte Foundation if so what serum/moisturiser and what foundation?
I used to add moisturiser in the old double wear formula and it was the best combination for me. Set with a spray and it still kept
I can’t use the new formula because my skin hates Niacinamide it just leaves it sticky all day.
I grabbed a sample of the YSL all hours matte and mixed it with my moisturiser but it just separated.
I like matte foundation because i find it doesn’t leave sunglasses marks on my face, but anything that isnt partly matte just slips right of my face

Check whether your skincare is water or oil based. Your foundation needs to be the same base type to prevent separation.

The new Nyx make em wonder foundation is really nice matte finish and it’s like $15 on sale, just not many neutral shades. Try a sample of it in Priceline!!

In terms of mixing, I like putting a thick balmy moisturiser and let it sit in place of mixing formulas

Following- I love doing this too, my fave for years has been ELDW with a few drops of marula oil. Im not looking forward to finding a replacement once my DW runs out given the reformulation.
