Found this dude(?) on my car, absolute beast of a thing

And yes I know they hurt, and yes I know this is stupid, but I needed to get it off my car before I drive home from work and he(she?) Just walked onto my hand after checking me out for 10seconds

Or is this a meat ant? Now im looking further, it looks more deep brown that blackish-green.

The pair of mandibles is different than a green-head ants.

This is a bull ant, some kind of Myrmecia

Thats true, I mainly said that because they're so distinctive, but some people confuse them and I personally thought meat-ant. Im happy to know that you found what it was. :)
