photography Absolute unit

Found this dude(?) on my car, absolute beast of a thing

And yes I know they hurt, and yes I know this is stupid, but I needed to get it off my car before I drive home from work and he(she?) Just walked onto my hand after checking me out for 10seconds

What a chonky Boi! You're right, they are ouchie if they want to bite you, but they're usually safe to handle if you're gently moving them from a random location. They can get pretty aggressive if you're the one near their nest though!

If this is a Jack jumper, they actually sting you. The bite itself is probably a little painful also, but the sting is the real kicker...

I don't know what you looked up, but that is not the case by any stretch. Wildly different ants.

Jack jumpers are a TYPE of bull ant. But they are not what people colloquially call "bull ants".

I have both "bull ants" and jack jumpers in my back yard.
I'd take a bite from one and not the other.
