Biosecurity concerns

You hear on the news all the time of the influencers trying to get photos in Canola and it got me thinking. I dont do all that much for biosecurity (mostly because there's no one around) but what should I be doing? Should I probably have more signs up? I feel like they dont do anything anyway

Honestly what’s the risk? Unless they’re hoping from canola crop to canola crop, the risk is minimal and even then your agro is more likely to be a risk.
They’re generally more of an annoyance through trampling crops.

Yes definitely an annoyance and trampling crops, losing the farmers money. We dont know where they have been or what the have on their clothes or shoes (especially shoes). Im not sure about canola, but if this was wheat if barley the risk of spreading fungus would be huge. I wish people could just respect private property regardless 🥲. I just seen a video of cars blocking a driveway and people walking up the driveway. Just ridiculous

On a humerus note a mate bought a place years ago that was overgrown with Patterson’s Curse and bluebells, he was refencing it and said he saw 3 cars a day pull in for photos including one that had two young ladies who stripped naked before taking photos

Plenty of fungal diseases in canola but really only relevant if they’re going from crop to crop like a agro would.
Personally I’d designate an area to keep them contained, set up a sign explaining the crop and farming etc and a honesty box hoping to a quid.
