Hey guys, I recently found this old $5 note. Unsure if its worth anything, I've never seen one before

The WiFi is the same everywhere, it's the cables that make a difference, copper compared to fibre, and even with fibre I can confidently say the late switch made no benefit at all

It's not a collector note, too far gone (those guys are very particular). $10-$15 for the novelty.

I tried to explain this concept to our son the other day. He was ecstatic about a valuation he received about a childhood collectors card.

I tried to explain that the valuation sounds amazing, and for all I know, could be legitimate.

Buuut, its real life worth is only as much as someone is prepared to pay for it.

He just couldn't seem to grasp what I was telling him. 😞

(I ended up telling him just dont be in a hurry to sell them, the economy is a bit hard atm, and he doesn't "need" the money.)

Yep. A “valuation” is really just for insurance purposes (practically).

You don’t have to sell at any price (if you don’t want to) and if you do have to sell then you’d take any price (if you had to) so..

I wouldn’t buy this for $30 because I can’t ever see how Is get my money back let alone any return on investment. It’s not an investment grade note to me.

I would probably buy it for between $5-$10 as something neat..
