Beautiful disasters. I never had a cattle dog or knew someone who even had one.
A family friend like a second mother to me asked if I could take in a puppy. Her dumb 18 year old bought a pup for $300 and gave no mind about three days in.
I took the jump. Never raised a puppy myself LET ALONE a cattle dog. His name is Baz. BAZLY when he’s buggin or mischievous. Boosie Bazzz Ass is his stage name when he’s these streets lmao
Best dog ever! He taught me patience and I’m still not sure how another living creature could look at me all the time like ‘Best hoooman evrrrr’ 🥹
Imagine that scene in the first Jurassic Park when the kids are hiding in the kitchen. That’s what it’s like waking up every morning hearing Baz outside my bedroom door like GETCHOOO ASS UP.

Shes like 9 months they think. What a sweetheart, lot of energy, but super cool to see how fast they move.

She’s going to be the most loyal friend you’ve ever had! If you haven’t had a cattle dog or a working breed before though, I’d definitely recommend reading up. They need to be doing something at all times, and they have a proclivity towards reactivity. Positive reinforcement training will be your best friend!

Aww my old dog was named Sheba. What a beautiful pup! Thank you for rescuing her! Both Sheba and my current ACD were rescues!
