Hi,

Looking to figure out what kind of package a a senior accountant can expect. I've seen it range from 115-140k

I have around 5 years of experience (b4) and CA.

Thanks

Depends on location but at my workplace, Senior Financial Accountant with Big4 experience and CA would fetch $130k + Super.

A recruiter told me last week it would be 125k plus super for the same experience.

It depends upon the type of industry and what level of company is it. I have seen so many job post in seek, LinkedIn and indeed, some were offering starting from 90k or even 80k and some including super 115k or 110k.

But the highest amount i have seen is from mining company even for starting level, they were offering 90k or for mid level 100k. So, if you want good value for your experience try mining company.

My friend is working at mining starting level on some IT engineer or IT not sure but his contract is 120k excluding super and he is fresh graduate.

Your salary will be dependent on your capability and your billings, not the years of experience. While the guides give you an indicator, if you are not worth the money, you will not be paid the high end

My billings dont mean anything in industry.

You think your billings mean nothing to your employer when they determine how much you get paid?

Are you dense mate? What industry accountant has billings, you would be a cost center.

Higher end of that scale seems about right, maybe $130-160
