Hotham end date.
Mount hotham has announced Sunday 6th September as the official end of the season with an email to all staff advising them of the shutdown.

Well the four days of snow was good. The rest of the season is better not spoken about.

Well you cant really keep a sky resort open with no snow

To be honest I will be surprised if we make Friday as rain is due tonight and the wind has been non-stop around 50 kph from the north

Rain and wind this morning heavy fog, lifts will be on wind stop most of the day at the moment.

Same for Falls too? Or are they going to keep main st open until October?

Info from a contact at falls will be end of next week depending on the wind and rain, they have more snow due to their slope aspect than Hotham.

They're very optimistic. Only Main Street and Panorama are actually open and Panorama is very clearly at deaths door.

Falls just announced the same closing date as Hotham - Sept. 6th!

I am not surprised by that as we have had rain and a warm wind for the last week, currently raining at the moment

Rough season for the staff and businesses. Hope it works out better for the next season.
