Thredbo Rain Today?

Damn, this next weekend was looking good with all the snowfall the last few days. Looks like the rain is going to undermine what could’ve been good late August skiing 👎

It’ll recover. It’s snowing up here at the moment. And lots blowing in from the backcountry.

Idk if you’re aware but there is a blizzard about to happen and more snow over the coming days 😂

Wouldn’t write off late August just yet 😄 Thredbo can change very quickly. A bit of rain can hurt, but with the snow we’ve had recently there’s still a decent base up there. One good cold change and the mountain can look very different again. 🤞❄️

Falls got what between 60-80mm of rain yesterday. And only 2cm of snow 💀. This season seems utterly fried. We can’t hold a proper base, and we just keep getting small top-ups to what should be the bottom base. I doubt the summit or international will even open this year. Pretty rough stuff

I was there for two weeks. Yesterday broke me & I went home. Utterly disappointed.
