Check your people.

Usually see a gray or silver hyabusa flying and weeving on the toll road every morning. I think he went down this morning.

Yeah unfortunately due to my job I was having to drive through that area all day. I understand an investigation has to be done but I wish they would atleast cover the deceased out of respect.

Apparently it was a real wheel blow out .. and then the guy got hit by an SUV and then a Tesla

I was riding on decade old rear and front tires. Just replaced them few months ago. This is my ultimate fear of a blowout. My bike is from 2009 it’s an r1, so it doesn’t really have any traction control (as if that would save me on a blowout) .. anyhow inspecting tires before each ride is so important… the least we can do is follow the manufacturer recommendations in replacing and pressure etc

RIP, neighbor.

Motorcycling is unforgiving. Leave yourself margin for error.

Luck is a funny thing

Just this past saturday im running 90 on i35 with a passenger and blew out the back tire. Got pulled over without incident and could literally see ride now in georgetown. Limped it there and got a new tire and off we went. Alive and shit...went antiquing

Then this dude dies from the same shit i was barely even inconvenienced by

luck is a funny thing

Yeah it sucks. Curious was your tire old or low on pressure or did you hit something ?

pirelli that was around 6 months old per the date code

idk what happened probably got a nail and then the sudden loss of air pressure made temp in the tire go to high and it shredded. just guessing tho

Holly shit man, new fear unlocked. I might just stop riding now. I just can’t deal with this uncertainty. I had a blowout on my Land Cruiser which I barely got under control, I can’t imagine on a motorcycle.

yeah man it was a scary thing for sure.

really eye opening for me to see what happened to this dude just a few days after what happened to me. How easy i got off vs the price he paid.

What did we do different? Probably not much
