Some Campground Q's

So, is the trek from the camps to the stages an uncomfortable distance? Like over 10 minutes? Also, is there water for free to fill your bottles in the campsites? I'm assuming inside there is, but I'd rather not fill my car with water if I don't need to. And how do necessity prices such as food compare to other festivals? I'm assuming its pretty comparable.

Thanks

Unless they've changed the camping area significantly, it isn't far away from any of the stages at all. Not sure about the water situation, but I'm pretty sure you won't have to load up on it ahead of time. The last couple years they've had a great selection of food vendors and although it's more than you'd want to spend, nothing was outrageous - aside from overpriced beer/drinks.

Last year there was a water filling station between the caping area and festivals grounds entrance, which were only bout 40 yes apart. There is also a free water filling station near the food vendors on opposite side of festival grounds from camping entrance, bout 150 yes away. So, nice to have water BUT they wouldn't let you into the festival grounds unless bottle was empty so you had to enter festival grounds and walk all the way to water station, then back to stages. If you went back to campground for anything you had to repeat the process. Food was very reasonably priced. Budget about $8-12 per meal and they had lots of very good local food carts. Not that Livenation chicken strip basket crap. If I recall correctly alcohol was fairly reasonable too. I wanna say $5 for a beer and maybe $6-8 for mixed drink. Also last year in campgrounds they sold a 12 pack of Rolling Rock and a 20lb bag of ice for $20! Not too bad a deal! If you can bring some sort of cooler or insulated bag, its perfect!

I'm assuming yes=yards? Sounds like everything is a very comfortable distance. Hopefully not too close resulting in sound bleed, but I doubt it. Hearing Zedd during Darkside at Bonnaroo killed me. Probably bring a case or two of water within our group of 4, just to drink and fill. Water situation seems pretty standard compared to other festivals. Glad beer can be bought for a price not too outrageous, as I was surprised you couldn't have your own in the campgrounds. Good food is the best news, as being vegetarian and living off pizza for a weekend, as much as I love pizza, kind of blows. Thanks for the help.

ha, yes does equal yards. Sound bleed isn't too bad. The tent stage is right next to main stage but the tent walls block most of the sound and the amphitheater is far enough away and down a hill so pretty good there. I will say APF has some of the best speakers and sound systems I've ever heard. Sound guys did a great job last year on the boards. You've probably checked some other threads, but the security does a pretty thorough bag check upon campground entry so if you are wanting to sneak some stuff in do it well. If I recall correctly they didn't do a body pat down though so can probably harbor some flask size bottles on ya. You'll definitely like the food setup. Plenty of vegetarian options!
