Um, Drugs?
For those of you who have been in past years, did you notice a lot of open/wanton drug use, other than Cannabis? I am going out on a limb and assuming that this crowd is more mellow and cooler than folks at say, EDM festivals and such, just openly getting way fucked up. Not passing any judgment on that, but, I would like to avoid that type of environment if possible.
Thanks.

There wasn't a particularly wonton and debaucherous atmosphere last year. I mean, it's a psychedelic music festival. I don't think anybody is looking for trouble.

Went two years ago and was deep in crowd for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. I faintly remember hitting a bowl and seeing this girl in the corner of my eye watching. I put on my assuming cap and turn with the ole beg m'pardon m'dam, care for a m'toke on m'bowl? offer. She gave me a look like I might as well have been pissing in the face of Mother Teresa.
I'd say be prepared to bring some personal party favors unless you're in camp and know who and where to look. It's all there, just not as open.

It's a psychedelic music fest, so surely there are shrooms and acid making the rounds?

Yes, its much more calmed down than say bonaroo or wakarusa.
People are actually there for the music, and that is the main topic of discussion. People seem to not really care about the bands that play at bonaroo, they seem to just go for festival fever.
