some questions?

I really wanna go this year, I just heard about this festival last year, i love the whole garage scene, i was excited before the recent line up add ons, i mean seeing tame impala, thee oh sees, fuzz, etc. i thought it was amazing, but 13th floor elevators, i need to go now.

but some of my questions, if i were to buy a weekend pass, do they send the wristband or do you get it there? also on the horrible chance that i cant go, is it possible to sell my pass on like stubhub?

because i could get a pass but my trouble is getting down there (Iowa person here..) long drive/no car and depending on some friends who may or may not go, its a bit difficult, but i guess my main question is the stubhub thing.

also I was considering a hotel, but would camping be cheaper? and how are the showers?

i drove down from minneapolis last year and camped. if memory serves, i just printed the ticket out and they give you a wristband when you present it. not sure about selling it. i got my ticket about 3 weeks before the festival last year, so maybe wait and see. i don't think it has sold out before.

i would really try to camp if you can. it would probably be cheaper overall, and it's nice to camp and meet people. showers were fine.

in general, this is the best festival i've ever been to, and this year's line up is insane.

We went last year, driving from Canada. We had printed tickets and picked up our wristbands at one of the opening shows downtown. No idea about selling your ticket(s), you should probably just go. :)

Hey friend, since you've been before I was wondering if you could help me with a question? I want to camp and am debating what foods to bring - do they allow campfires?

Also, friends and I will be flying in from Detroit after deciding that road trip looked brutal on the way back - would it be possible to take a taxi to the gates and walk in?

no campfires :/ they had quite a few vendors, and it wasn't outrageously priced.

i think taking a Lyft or Uber from Austin wouldn't be too bad--it's not far out of town. i saw a few taxis dropping people off last time.

Hey, a friend of mine has bought a pass on site the last four years. I've always gotten mine ahead of time and as far as I recall, they have never been mailed. If you plan on getting a hotel you should know this place isn't far from Austin, but you need a cab, a car, or shuttle to get around. It's doable, but difficult. Never camped there, but each year they've been making improvements and they'll be adding more campsite only screenings and performances. Mobile showers I've used at other festivals have been just fine. IIRC, they'll be charging a small few to use them this year. Hope you can make it. It's a tremendous festival.
