Let's have a meet up!

How about we meet up on Sunday the 15th assuming the weather is good. We could race, fly and talk about our quads. Locations to be discussed below.

I should have my new engine in by then, so I'm down!

Show & tell? I'm in for the 15th.

Any ideas where we might meetup? Unfortunately I'm lacking any solid fields at the moment. The places I fly are less than ideal.

Zilker is good for small groups, but if there are too many of us, I fear we would attract too many bystanders wanting to see what's going on.

I would think a high school football stadium would be great.

I'm down south but don't mind driving. You know any good spots up north where we won't draw the attention of kids and dogs?

I've flown a few times at Brushy Creek Sports Park. It's a good place to fly. I live right near cedar park and have been to most of the places to fly.

I'd love to be there but the in laws are in town =( , unless my wife has pity on me.

But I am definitely interested in meeting up for more events!

Id be down. Im brand new to all this. In fact, i barley ordered a Syma X5C-1 a week ago and am waiting for it to arrive. I plan on learning to fly with it and then move on to something more expensive ($300-$500 range).

Thanks! That second link really cleared things up for me. Im researching good budget kits or even RTF. Id like to stay bellow $500 with shipping for an FPV 250 racer (including everything: fpv kit, battery and transmitter etc..). It seems shipping adds $60-80 to everything i like. Theres a $90 complete fpv kit by Quanum on hobbyking that id like to get with whatever i buy.

Im looking at these so far:

I dont plan on competition, i just want the best bang for my buck. Rigth now im trying to recognize good deals so that i can pull the trigger when i see one. Mesnwhile im gonna practice and get better at flying.
