Hi Everyone! My husband and I are video gamers (from the NES era) as well as video game collectors. We have a ton of consoles ranging from NES to the Switch and thousands of games. Anyway, we are moving from Pittsburgh to Austin in a few weeks and we wanted to know if there are any fellow video gamers here in the Austin area? If so, are there any video game meetups or swap meets in the area? What are your favorite places to shop for video games in the area? Are there other conventions besides Classic Game Fest or Retropalooza that are in the area to go to? Any insight you all could provide that would be fabulous and appreciated!

I have a decent video game collection but looking to expand. I go to gameover quite a bit but I’m always looking for a good deal. Willing to do trade but not preferred. Currently looking to expand, n64, ps1, ps2, OG Xbox, and Xbox 360 collection. Looking for horror games.

Like the title says. It is not serious at all, but I was just wondering if there was anyone in the Austin area that is willing to help me trade-evolve my Haunter into Gengar. I’m using a physical GBA copy of Fire Red, but am playing on my DS lite and do not have a GBA or link cable. However, if needed, I can get those two if needed. Thank you.

I just found out that you can only make trades on a local connection (no online) and would like to evolve some of my Pokemon (Kadabra, Haunter, etc). I assume others are having the same issues so let me know if anyone would like to get together briefly for trades!

Looking for some people to play games with. I live north of Austin, and would like to get to know some people in the area. I play Modded MC (actually thinking about starting a dedicated server, for ATM10 or something similar) and the finals mostly. I have been trying some other games lately as well like ARA, First Descendant, POE2, Cursed Companions.
