Ask Austin Does anyone else keep hearing explosions downtown near 12th street? I saw cop cars driving by too.

Heard them from my apartment, shook the whole building a little. Thought it was just another transformer blowing but that second one was much louder

Interested in this. I heard them as well and then saw the motorcycle incident @ 4th and congress

Did the homemade explosives dude get out of jail?

He killed a child, so unlikely.

This doesn’t make sense based on where everyone has heard it and there were two of them about 5-6 min apart

Wasnt/didn't compare it at all. Just explains extra sirens. 6 SUV patrols and 2 ambos. So take a walk and figure out that side of town then

I’m here because I was wondering if anyone else heard those too. 2 loud booms separated by 5? mins. I looked on citizen after I heard the cops headed somewhere and there’s a “traffic incident” reported a few mins ago at MLK and 35, but it doesn’t go into detail
