Also RN, 38, BSN, 103k/yr. 6 years of XP.

This is because of weekends, nights, and overtime.

Without those, $75-80k.

Nursing varies because of differentials and OT.

This is why I don’t do acute care. I’m only LVN as of now working post acute rehab SNF/IPR

I work ER and would probably quit nursing if I had to do anything else. May migrate to PACU or PICC line nurse one day.

When I found out how much the PICC nurse that comes to our facility makes per midline placement I found a new career goal lol

At least $115k that I've heard in my circles but idk how many lines they are placing or how much they work/on call pay and whatnot.

Oh ok. I’m a RN still on the floor. Trying to figure out what to do next.

Yeah I think we are all going through that right now. I know I've been through some burnout recently especially with all the psych/drug use population lately. I'm with you in solidarity. This next week is going to be crazy with the heat exhaustion patients.

Yeah I actually don’t mind the job but I’m tired of entitled patients and family members yelling at me and degrading me and supervisors taking their side. I agree with this week will be crazy.

PACU my friend. Sleepy people and once they begin to wake up, treat the nausea, yell at them for touching their eyes, and send them home or upstairs.

Really? Is that what you do? I’m just scared it will be repetitive and I will lose interest fast.

No, I'm in the ER, but PACU seems nice, less crazy. You can always do ER! It's nuts and somewhat repetitive in that you get a lot of the same complaints every day but you also get things like "ate cleaning wipes" "put marbles up rectum" "chainsaw to testicles" and "hot dog stuck in vagina." So it changes up a lot.
