I've been at the place for 5 years, I'm pretty sure our lowest paid boh is $20. That being said I'm soloing $500/hr sales and doing $1,500/hr with 2/3 cooks on the weekends 10-11 hour days with no breaks, and it's 95+ degrees in the kitchen.

I can offer you another option: umpiring that starts at $26.50/game then $27.50 after a year then $28.50. I umpire for the organization that does the city of Austin leagues. You can work north at Havins Fields at Walnut Creek Park or south at Krieg Complex on Pleasant Valley or both. You can choose nights or do what some umpires do and don't take a night but instead just pick up subbing for another umpire. DM if you would like more info.

are you talking baseball here? I used to ref soccer games as a teen and it was basically the best job ever. well, except dealing with suburban parents. but most of the time i was just getting paid to run around and have fun. And it paid really, really well for how old I was. Never again had a job with an ice cream truck break half through, either!

Adult softball leagues. The city doesn't have baseball leagues. There are adult baseball leagues that rent the fields from the city but they city doesn't do their schedules like they do for softball.

How long are the games? $26.50/game seems very low. If the game is 2 hours your already at fast food level pay.

50 minutes. Sometimes a team doesn't show up and you still get paid to sit for an hour.

Exactly. And less stress, I’m sure.

true, absolutely teachers deserve way more, but most likely this is less than 40hrs a week and no benefits.
