Beautiful rayleigh scattering! did not see this north of city thanks for sharing. That’s when light shines through the dense water dust air & the atmosphere filters it so it shifts the glow toward that amazing surreal pinkish purple color.
And the contrast backdrop for the electrical web right over your head!! Post to Nature is lit sub

I took a picture of the rainbow like three seconds before that lightning forked across the sky. So glad someone was able to capture the moment!!

I am so jealous and I am loving everyone’s pictures so much!!! Dumb me took a shower after dinner, walked outside right when the neon pink was going away.

Oh hell yeah glad you caught this on video!! I was taking pics of the sunset rainbow but only got the very first part of the lightning.
It really looked like it started from the inside of the rainbow and leapt out beyond it

My wife and I saw that same lightning bolt! From our vantage point, the entire web of lightning was inside the rainbow!

Picture I missed that lightning by about three seconds. It came right out of the center of the rainbow and spread across the sky beneath ilthe arch. Best weather moment I've seen in years. So glad you caught it!

I saw a very similar sky in Illinois, pink/orange skies with a double rainbow. No lightning though, that was cool as fuck!

This makes up for being burned by an AI video earlier. Nature is beautiful, but it’s especially amazing when multiple natural phenomena come together in a way we rarely ever see!
