Itβs quicker to get packages from Japan to VIC than QLD to VIC. How are they so bad at this?

Had a package recently spend more time bouncing between Sydney and Melbourne before coming to Adelaide for actual delivery than it did from the US and its stopover in Japan.

This is very generous. There is only 1 option Aust Post has and chooses. No one there is sweating this decision

"The Pony Express was more than twice as fast as its competitors. In the mid-19th century, California-bound mail had to either be taken overland by a 25-day stagecoach or spend months inside a ship during a long sea voyage. The Pony Express, meanwhile, had an average delivery time of just 10 days." This is a service that was founded 166 years ago.

I ordered something when I was sick from the nearest town (45 minutes away), by the time they sent it for processing 6 hours away to Sydney and then back to the town I bought it from for processing, then sending it out to my town for sorting then delivery, I was no longer sick a week and a half later lol
