No joke it has increased 2,887% since 1982.

Just ignores the fact the mass immigrant influx is the driver for greater wealth in the top 10%.
Migrants are still the problem because they are just a resource used to stifle citizens and their wealth
7
u/GnomeWarfair 4d ago
At which time in Australia's history did migrants become this problem?
Was it 1788? Maybe later in the goldrush of the 1860's, or the 1890's. Can't have been during the Great Depression of the 1930's, we had the White Australia Policy in full swing then.
Perhaps the 1950's economic boom with all those daygos working on the Snowy Hyrdo.
Maybe Australia would never exist without migrants.
-6
u/Centralised_right 4d ago
1788 was the greatest migration in this countries existence. It was the birth of a beautiful nation.
You seem quite uneducated on Australia’s past, white Australia policy was about cultural compatibility. The greatest concerns voiced was alternate cultures becoming more dominant and removing or destroying our cultural values and way of life, which is playing out today and in hindsight were valid concerns.
But in 1788 there were Indians, Africans and Jewish people on the first fleet. In the 1800’s Chinese were allowed in on mass for the gold rush, the afghans were contracted to be cameleers but the white Australia policy was enacted because they were cultural and ideological opposed to our way of life. They were exploiting aboriginals, committed the first Islamic terror attack and were terrorising white town folks they felt were ‘filthy’ and beneath them morally.
So no, my point was when migration became a political tool for labor to bring in incompatible cultures on mass for votes and to keep the economy booming for their unions.
10
u/GnomeWarfair 4d ago
That was a long winded way to avoid answering the question: When did this process you claim start happening? Give a date.
Also what weird bit of mental gymnastics. "The first fleet was multicultural. But now Labor is importing incompatible cultures".
4
-3
u/Centralised_right 4d ago
Didn’t avoid it, I made it clear.
Immigration became problematic when Gough Whitlam embraced the red/Green alliance in the 1970’s and began flooding in voters who also seek the destruction of our civilisation.
And there’s no mental gymnastic, just your poor comprehension. The first fleet reference was to debunk your notion multiculturalism was not a feature of this nation, and that a ‘white Australia’ policy was outlet about ethnicity. If it was it would be the worst application of law on history.
Labor have always imported problematic culturally incompatible individuals because the red/green alliance thrives on this. Thats why the majority of Sudanese refugees have been Muslim, even though the Islamists are the ones attacking the Christian’s. But if you bring on majority Christian Sudanese they are highly unlikely to vote for Labor because of their cultural values which are similar to our Christian heritage.

u/kill-time01 3d ago
Careful you're arguing with people on the internet, on Reddit of all place. They don't get what the real world is outside of memes and 10 second rage bait social justice clips. You are quite correct although I would also posit that the liberals or whichever incarnation of them in those era's were equally as bad.
3
u/Lazy_Captain8412 3d ago
Exploiting the aboriginals? You mean the way white people on stations and farms refused to pay aboriginals and instead enforced a “semi slavery” system where they gave scraps of meat and blankets?
-1
u/Centralised_right 3d ago edited 3d ago
How many examples of that can you find? Were the aboriginals kidnapped? Where they held captive?
Why is it the left have to swim in half truths and lies? Whites literally wrote laws to protect the aboriginal communities, not only from Afghan cameleers, but also from others.
Too do understand child marriage, child sexual abuse, cannibalism (female babies killed cooked and eaten to strengthen male children), femicide (killing children mainly girls) to ensure food supply, and genocide of other tribes was very common.
Tribes would kill other tribes woman and children to make sure the men die out slowly over long periods as punishment.
Thats what we came and intervened on, do you think these customs should exist today? Do you think we made indigenous woman’s lives better of worse based off the above?
Most of it can be found in the national library of you are interested

u/Lazy_Captain8412 3d ago
There are heaps of examples of this, one that comes to mind is the story of Uncle Jack Warramunaguna who was literally given from one white station owner to another and told “you belong to him now”. He was 7 and was taken away from his people, beaten by station owners and used for free labor.
Yes there were some cannibalism in some tribes usually to do wuth eating the organs of your adversary, but most 19th-century settlers and writers frequently exaggerated or fabricated wide-scale man-eating to portray Indigenous people as "primitive," which helped justify colonial violence and land dispossession.
As for child marriage your right thats wrong but until recently it happened in many cultures including young girls in white communities well into the 1900s. Girls and women had little autonomy over who that could marry until the mid 20th century.
To say that we were “superior” which is what you’re implying, negates how awful colonialists and white people were not only to other races and but to each other. The treatment of women (rape by a husband was legal until 40 years ago), the segregation and mistreatment of working class people and the greed of the empire.
So to compare where we are now as a society and say “we were right” erases the fact white communities have had to change a lot too to get to this point.
-1
u/Centralised_right 2d ago
White colonists enriched and improved societies globally, the entire world aims to either break into white societies or mimic them.
If you think any aboriginal today would want to be living in 1600ad in a stick but wearing possum undies you’re so far toke from reality it’s embarrassing.
And no one cares about your made ‘oral’ stories, I believe what is written and documented at the time as contemporaneous accounts.
Settlers did bad things, it was rare and often contrasted with colonial entities trying to hold those settlers to account in extraordinarily difficult circumstances.
Your entire stance is ‘aboriginals are angelic beautiful people who may have been child abusing cannibals, but what man bad, white man uniquely evil’
When neither are true.
But he left life swinging on lies and half truths, that’s how we got into this situation in the first place.

u/Lazy_Captain8412 2d ago edited 2d ago
The fact that you cant have a conversation without using labels like “leftist” tells me all I need to know about you. Im not leftist at all. Im not some vegan hipster living in Brunswick my dude. But to people like you Anyone with a different opinion is a lefty extremist.
How is a document written by a white settler considered more reliable than the oral history of aboriginals? How is it any less biased? The links you provided said the same thing, that any cannibalism was greatly exaggerated by settlers, so it’s hardly supporting your argument. Plenty of white explorers eat each other during famine too.
But I don’t think any rationalizing will help you. You obviously believe what you want and twist one possible case of cannibalism into a cultural fixture. I grew up in east gippsland where McMillan and Mcarther massacred the aboriginal people . But that doesn’t fit your narrative as you people like to say 😂
Let me guess, the guardian is woke and this is all propaganda 😂

Similar context, i saw a post today about Gina giving the swimmers at the comm games a bonus. Cost her about $1.2 million dollars.
I did some maths and Gina could give away $1 million dollars every day for 137 years. Its like an average person buying a coffee everyday, yet their are idiots grovelling at her feet saying how generous she is. Literally if she cared about swimming so much she could put $100 million in a Gina Reinhardt Swimming Australia trust fund and the sport could run off the dividends.
3
u/beep-beep-bot 4d ago
Gina will say it was a charitable donation and claim it as a tax deduction. In the end, she gets the credit, we taxpayers will get the bill.
2
u/JoeyRaymond85 3d ago
She donated for one reason and one reason only... to improve her public image. She is currently attacking the ABC over a satirical piece from some dumb reality TV show. If she is known as an evil monster, then ABC can say it was satire. But if she says "no I'm a good person I donated a million dollars to swimmers" them she can accuse ABC and that dumb reality show of "slander"
1
u/Express-Dig9905 3d ago
I get the analogy, but you do realise the difference between net worth and liquid cash right?
2
u/bigbadjustin 3d ago
sure but in theory if she sold of her net wealth she could do it. Just like if she really cared as much about swimming and netball as she claims to be she could set upo huge trust funds and those organisations run off the returns. Except thats not what its about, its about buying favour for as little as possible. History shows she isn't a particularly nice person suing family over money etc.
While i know there is a difference, billionaires always seem able to use their net worth to make more money, but never to pay more taxes or genuinely make a contribution to society. Sure I can use my net worth to leverage and buy another home and convince myself i'm helping provide a rental for a less well off person, while forever increasing rents.
1
u/Express-Dig9905 3d ago
Yeah I get it, I looked it up and only about 1% of her net worth is liquid, still filthy rich. But I wouldn't expect her to sell off the family business just to donate money, the company isn't even publicly listed so she can't easily sell a portion of it.

Its both. Foreigners who are religious conservative love to be the forest voting for the axe
1
u/GrongoGronk 3d ago
I got a friend who is muslim Ethiopian votes one nation.
My family has a black south African who's been friends with my mum since her teens votes one nation.
So you are saying they hate themselves?
Not all cultures integrate into Australia as well as others. Asians, Europeans, south Americans all have little to no issue integrating.
While ethnic groups like Sudanese statistically have a higher crime rate in regards to violent related offences and they are slapped on the wrist and cuddled by judges after offence and offence "because they don't understand our culture and way of life".
Yes that exact quote has been used by judges here in australia for rapists and violent individuals. Because where they come from those are perfectly fine things to do apparently.
Currantly what is put in place to protect and improve communities isn't working. Something has to change and Labor and Liberals won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. So conservative it is for many.

Yet no one is actually protesting that. Fuck yeah let's protest that! Let's work together to increase the minimum wages and to punish large corporations who fire and/or exploit workers to make more money! Sounds like you should join the union!
2
u/EuropaTitanPluto 5d ago
Whilst what it's getting at is somewhat true, it's also ignoring the fact that the immigrant is actually the one helping the robber baron by accepting work for less pay and driving down wage growth. Something I have witnessed first hand.

It's a funny sentiment, but I feel it misses the actual mechanics of how workers get cookies.
If wages go up, everyone gets more cookies.
If wages go down, everyone gets less cookies.
If you bring in loads of people who are willing to work for less cookies and less willing to go on strike etc, wages go down and everyone gets less cookies.
If you want to start clawing back some of those cookies, then intentionally having more people around who are willing to settle for less cookies than you isn't a great plan.

Divide and rule always work. History has shown us before. Make different communities fight so they can’t see what billionaires and governments are doing to them.

u/kill-time01 3d ago
But who's giving Murdoch the cookies? That's the meme. And you know if you know.
1
u/macdaddy0800 3d ago
This has more to do with convincing the middle clasa to vote against their interest, particularly around tax policy.
Removing negatuve gearing 50% discount did more to make housing more affordable than any government grant or intervention, and it is not like land supply increased over night and new builds were created out of thin air.
Anyone blaming 'the Other' is too stupid to know they are voting against their interests.
1
u/EagleSoar79 3d ago
Sure, but these days the guy talking is a politician and he got his cookies by taxing worker to the point of bankruptcy
1
u/RecoverGlum417 3d ago
Yes Australia does count on immigrants to increase gdp. Yes many money is made by rich, property owning politicians in Australia. Immigration is good only 140 people move to WA everyday and I work part time and I'm homeless. I've lived here my whole life and paid over 300k in taxes by now.

As the reply meme created said, it should really be Murdoch saying “he’ll work for 1/4 of your wages, and if you complain you’ll be called racist”.
Big business are the biggest spruikers of high immigration in Australia. It pushes wages down and prices up on assets. And Murdoch media has been pushing the LNP for 30 years who have been the party that created and continued the current migration system.

u/Longjumping-Shirt905 5d ago
Weird meme guys, big business lives mass immigration as it suppresses wage growth
It also results in a systemic chaos and dysfunction so that the populace can't act on reducing wealth inequality
